160 shoplifters of goods were detained in the chain of shops «Podruzhka» for six months thanks to facial recognition technology. The amount of compensation exceeded 500 thousand rubles. According to Sotnev, the «STOP-Shoplifter» information system specially created for the prevention and minimization of losses is now operating in 35 stores of the "Podruzhka" network of 224. The system records images of violators obtained during apprehension at the time of theft or from the video surveillance archive. At the subsequent appearance of a shoplifter in the store IAS "STOP-Shoplifter" informs the responsible staff.
