BIT Joins the Technology, Innovation and Marketing Committee of the Russian Association of Retail Market Experts (RAERR)

BIT Company LLC (BIT), a Skolkovo resident and a leading Russian developer of biometric security technologies, has joined the Technology, Innovation and Marketing Committee of the Russian Association of Retail Market Experts (RAERR).

The committee brings together retail and technology professionals to exchange expertise, address key industry challenges and explore practical applications of emerging technologies. BIT’s participation reflects the company’s commitment to contributing its expertise to the industry dialogue and advancing technology-driven approaches to retail security and risk management.

BIT develops information and analytical systems that help organizations prevent fraud, identify potential threats and reduce operational risks across retail, financial services and logistics. The company’s solutions are powered by proprietary facial recognition technologies that have demonstrated strong results in the international Face Recognition Vendor Test (FRVT-2021). BIT’s software products are also included in the Russian Register of Computer Programs.

BIT’s flagship retail solution, STOP-Shoplifter, is an intelligent loss-prevention system designed to help retailers identify and prevent shoplifting and related security risks. The system has been deployed since 2014 in accordance with Russian legislation and is currently used at more than 10,000 retail locations across Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus.

“Joining the Technology, Innovation and Marketing Committee is an important step in strengthening BIT’s engagement with the professional retail community. We see this as an opportunity to share our experience, contribute to discussions around real-world business challenges and work with industry experts to develop practical technology solutions for the evolving retail landscape,” said BIT.

Through its work within RAERR, BIT will contribute to industry discussions on the adoption of AI and biometric technologies, share practical experience from large-scale retail deployments and collaborate with fellow experts on the development of the next generation of technology-enabled retail solutions.
