"Detsky Mir" improved the automated control system of the trading hall
"Detsky Mir", a multi-vertical digital retailer, a leader in the market of children’s products in Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan, improved the automated control system of the sales hall in all retail stores of the network.
"Detsky Mir" together with IT-company "BIT" - one of the leading developers of security solutions based on biometrics, launched in retail stores of the network an improved system of control and prevention of shoplifter IAS "STOP-Shoplifter". The system includes more than 150 cameras located in trading halls and capable of facial recognition.
The predictive video analytics and facial recognition module allows predicting future developments, identifying intruders, gathering information on cases of theft and preserving visual data of offenders. In the event of a second visit by alleged intruders to the store, the system will recognize them and notify the security service.
According to the data for 2021, the system "STOP-Shoplifter", installed in stores of more than 30 retail chains, identified and prevented more than 5,000 theft.
"New Year holidays are coming, and with them the traffic of buyers in the stores of the network increases. The introduction of the new system, especially in the "peak" season, will ensure security for buyers, as well as significantly reduce financial losses," - said Yuri Vikulin, Director of Internal Audit of GC "Detsky Mir".
